Grouting, Soil Improvements, and Geosyntetics Vol. 1 and Vol. 2
Edited by Roy H. Borden, Robert D. Holtz, and Ilan Juran

Geotechnical Special Publication No. 30

The proceedings of the 1992 ASCE Specialty Conference on Grouting, Soil Improvements, and Geosynthetics, addresses advances in the state-of-practice, research and technological developments in four rapidly expanding geotechnical areas: 1) Grouting techniques and materials, 2) soil improvement technologies, 3) Geosynthetics engineering, and 4) ground modification for geo-environmental applications. the 105 contributed papers and 4 invited keynote papers provide a broad-based technical discussion of design practice, innovative construction technologies and products , and monitored case studies of new engineering applications. Overall, these proceedings represent a significant contribution to the state-of-the-art, which will effectively assist practicing engineers, manufacturers, potential users, and researchers to recognize the limitations of current practice, evaluate the feasibility of innovative technologies, and address the technical challenges that will undoubtedly face the profession in the next century.

Construction and Design of Cement Grouting: A Guide to Grouting in Rock Foundations
By A.C. Houlsby

Provides exhaustive coverage of cement grouting in rock foundations, outlining all types of cement grout, comparing their suitabilities and describing various ways cement grouting is used in engineering construction. Written and arranged in an easy-to-read manner, the book is arranged as a reference manual with numerous cross-references. Step-by-step explanations on grouting techniques are given in considerable detail and written with both the novice and experienced practitioner in mind. Also covers advanced technology, including the current state of computer use in grouting operations; the latest grouting materials such as microfine; and the use of superplasticizers in cement grout. Chapters are arranged from elementary to advanced technology.

Grouting, Soil Improvement and Geosystems including Reinforcement
Edited by Hans Rathmayer (Finnish Geotechnical Society)

This publication compiles a total of 65 papers reviewed by the Publications Committee of the Finnish Geotechnical Society, sponsors of the Fourth International Conference on Ground Improvement Geosystems – Grouting, Soil Improvement and Geosystems including Reinforcement (4th GIGS), held in Helsinki in 2000 and organized under the aupices of the TC-17 of ISSMGE and of the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS). The conference covered a broad range of topics related to ground improvement technologies, grouting, deep mixing, soil reinforcement and related technologies.

Dam Foundation Grouting, Revised and Expanded
By Kenneth D Weaver & Donald A Bruce, ASCE Press

Dam Foundation Grouting: Revised and Expanded Edition is a state-of-the-practice review of all aspects of drilling and grouting-based technologies used for dam foundation treatment. Like its first edition, the book provides readers with background information and guidance to understand and deal more confidently with issues related to the design, construction, supervision, analysis, and review of grouting programs.

The new edition of Dam Foundation Grouting has been revised to reflect contemporary grouting practice and has been substantially enlarged to include coverage of geologic considerations and to address remedial grouting issues. In addition to providing extensive information on grouting technology, equipment, and procedures, it also provides guidance of specifications and contracts. An essential publication for all who are or may become involved in any way with the design, repair or construction of dams.
